Duskwell (“we”, “us”) is an adult (18+) open dating service. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address and password (stored hashed).
- Profile data: display name, bio, birth year / age range preferences, city, relationship preferences, desire tags, and photos you upload.
- Messages: content you send to matches.
- Safety data: blocks and reports you submit, and related timestamps.
- Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, timestamps, device/user-agent) needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- To create and maintain your account and profile.
- To show you nearby or relevant profiles and enable matching and chat.
- To enforce our Terms, investigate reports, and keep the community safe.
- To operate, debug, and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show third-party advertising in the app today.
Photos and user-generated content
Photos and profile text you upload are reviewed before they become visible to other people. Pending photos are shown only to you as “Checking…”. Do not upload content you are not allowed to share. You can remove photos from your profile; residual copies may remain briefly in backups.
Sharing
We may share data with infrastructure providers (hosting, storage) solely to run Duskwell, or when required by law, or to protect users from harm. Profile and message content is shared with other users as part of the product.
Retention
We keep account and profile data while your account is active. You may request deletion by emailing duskwell@hostingandstuff.online. Safety records may be retained as needed to prevent abuse.
Children
Duskwell is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately.
Your choices
- Edit or delete profile photos and profile fields in the app.
- Block or report other users.
- Request account deletion via duskwell@hostingandstuff.online.
